The Walt Disney Co. Japan has decided to acquire Retail Networks Co., the company that has operated Disney Stores in Japan at the moment, from its owner Oriental Land.

From April 1 2010 then, the Japanese Disney Stores will be a 100% Disney owned subsidiary.

According to an email statement from the Tokyo based Disney Japan the house of the mouse has been in talks for a year with Oriental Land, who also operates Disneyland Tokyo, but financial figures weren’t disclosed yet.
