On Oscar weekend, the Disney animated film “Gnomeo and Juliet” reached the top spot at the US Boxoffice with more than $14 million.

The 3D lighthearted love story movie inspired by Shakespeare’s classic drama, featuring
the voices of James McAvoy as Gnomeo and Emily Blunt as Juliet, is in its third weekend out.

“Gnomeo and Juliet” beat the new comedy “Hall Pass” featuring Owen Wilson that came in second with just over $13 million.
